HP Printer Unable to Connect with WiFi-Fixes

In this Era of technology, most part of our lifestyle events are completely dependent on the gadgets. We want every single thing to be operated from just a single click from our mobile. We are installing extenders and routers in our big and small premises to enjoy the extended network coverage.

But if get stuck in the middle of the printing assignment, then it gets very frustrating. Let’s dig deep to understand the issue that why sometimes connecting printer to WiFi becomes challenging.

There could be multiple reasons interrupting the connectivity, let’s discuss one by one:

Check All the Connections

If you struggling with the issue that printer is not able to connect with WiFi, then the first and the foremost step to be taken is to check the printer and network connections. So, we have to identify that there is printer is not found by your computer/mobile or printer is not connecting with the WiFi. Let’s discuss in detail:

  • Move the printer within the WiFi range extender or router, if the wireless light is solid blue then it means network is connected.
  • Check the available networks on the device and make sure it is connected with the right network.
  • Keep an eye on the WiFi signal strength on your device. If the wireless icon depicts weak signals then try to move your printer close to the router or range extender until unless strong signals appear.
  • If printer is connected with computer via USB cable then note here that this can block the WiFi setup which binds the printer internet connection.

Restore WiFi Setup Mode

Most of the printers consist of WiFi setup mode which supports HP software in building connection between HP printer and the network. If HP printer is unable to connect with WiFi then restore the set up mode. Most of the printers have touchscreen display so follow the steps to perform the restore to fix the connection and will eventually fix the issue HP printer not printing:

Go to Menu> Open Setup menu> Select Settings> Restore Network

Restart Devices

Restarting technical devices will remove the temporary glitches in the system, so to execute restart your devices like computer, mobile phone, printer or router. Disconnect all the devices from the network name (SSID) and then reconnect it with the network name with which printer is connected to.

Follow the steps to complete the process:

  • Turn off your Printer first.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power socket.
  • Switch off your device as well with which printer is connected with.
  • Restart your Router.
  • Reconnect the connection with the printer and the power source.
  • Turn on your device.
  • Cross check the connections and make sure that same network is used by the printer and the device.

Print Wireless Network Test Report

This helps in extracting information regarding the printer network connection and to troubleshoot the issues:

Search for Control Panel Menu> Open Wireless> Go to Network Settings

You can extract a wireless network test report and this will prompt you to perform the troubleshoot hacks to rectify the problem effectively.

Reinstall HP Smart App

Sometimes, soft wares require fresh installation, uninstall the HP Smart App from your device either computer or mobile whichever is connected with the same network printer is connected with. Download the latest version of HP Smart app from HP website. Install it and then follow the prompts to add your printer.
